Plaid im Exil

7. November 2010

Started as a side project of Black Dog Productions, the Plaid alias grew to encompass several singles and an entire full-length album, Not For Threes, which was released on Warp Records in 1997. After the album received rave reviews, Ed and Andy slowly began to withdraw from the Black Dog project and work on more material. Later full-length releases on Warp include Rest Proof Clockwork and Spokes. In 2006 they released a CD/DVD combo Greedy Baby, showcasing their collaboration with visual artist Bob Jaroc, who is known for the video accompanyment at their live shows. Plaid has done remix work for Portishead, Red Snapper, Björk, and Irresistible Force, The.
